This runs at what feels like 60 frames per second. Obviously inspired by Outrun and plays just as great!

Definitely inspired greatly by the arcade classic Outrun. Plays pretty good too, but understand this is old school arcade racing, not the fancy stuff you might be used to on modern consoles.

Got this while it was free for a limited time, I think it's fun. I play it 5 minutes at a time just to kill time. The steering is responsive and yes you do tilt your phone radically to turn but your screen stays level. I recommend this to outrun fans and it's a good value at 99 cents. Great for ages 5 and up.

The game is awful because the controls are epic crap. I don't typically make a big deal about the controls cuz I learn to adjust easily, but wow! The steering is awful (you can't even turn to the next lane without tilting the entire devise all the way over, or sliding ur thumb all the way off of the steering stick) the gas and brake pedals are basically useless. If you have time to brake, you won't have time to turn, thus, making it useless. Until this game gets better controls, then this is a total fail.

For some reason this game takes to 1994, reminded me of the old school classic, cruising usa. Excellent game!

This game brings back good memory's from my child hood. Back then I when games where simple. It's just a breath of fresh air. :)

Pretty cool game, but the things just fly up onto you. Drive along... WEEE! A random troll overpass appears and scares you! O.o

This app does a great job of recreating the retro feel of old school racing games from a couple decades ago. The tilt controls work great, and the graphics and sound fit the retro style very well. Good fun!

The game Out Run was fun because it was new in the arcade and wow it came with a steering wheel. This game does not come with a steering wheel and the iPad makes a poor substitute when you are trying to press an accelerator at the same time. The graphics are even cheesier then the original game and it came out 25 yrs ago. It was free and yet I feel as if I lost money in the deal. Save you time and get a driving simulator type racing game.

The sense of speed in this game is awesome. Best racing game on the iPhone. Forget real racing and all those ea games this is the real deal.

the game is good, but the music is different, developer most change the music, because the original music was so nice that i can`t play whit out the original, is not the same. but the game is good, in my iphone, i can control the game, the only think is the musc, I WANT ORIGINAL MUSIC

This is basiclly outrun with fancy graphics, at first I thought it was a cheap ripoff but its so fun! Plus a tip, put the outrun tunes in your library and use it when playing, sure its not outrun but its the closest you'll get!

Dear developers, than you for making this game free.(temporarily) Now,I've had my eyes on this app for months,but the good and bad reviews mixed together confused me. Now, that it's free for a limited time, I made up my mind to get it. I haven't ever got to play outrun, but Ive checked out crusin' USA, asphalt 6, and real racing 2. Pros: Over five control methods Nice feel of speed. Achievements. Good music and sound effects. Game center. Simple little game. Cons: Top speed only like 202 mph. Only one car to race with. You don't race against anybody,you just try to beat the clock. No wrecks, when you hit a car,your car slows down to aprox. 20 mph. Car loses control around turns that aren't even that sharp. You don't drift,your car just slows down and a little bit of smoke comes out the bottom. If you run two feet off the road, the car slows down a bunch again! You can't run you're car completely off the road cause it's so narrow. The other cars go way to fast, some seem to go up to 100 mph. The freeways you go on are all one-way. There should be a second set of lanes going in the other direction. I'm a bit disappointed, in asphalt 6 your car can reach like 400 mph and there's also the nitro boost. Even real racing 2 lets your car go faster, even though it a simulator not an arcade! I don't mind it when games are simple, as long as what they do have is real fun. (Take fruit ninja for example) You guys gotta understand that if you're gonna make an arcade racer, you gotta make it so that the unrealistic parts of the game make it more fun, not dull! In crusin' USA, when you hit a car going straight at you,your car goes flying like a kicked empty soda can! Everyone,if your looking for a great racing arcade, get asphalt 6! So developers, I'm going to be merciful and give the the game three stars. The good things in this game make it good enough for two stars, but since you guys were considerate and made this game free, I'll give it a three.

Really brings back the memories of playing Sega's Outrun in the arcade. The controls feel great and the pace is just right. Fun to pick up and play for a few minutes or an hour. I also picked up the sequel and love it just as much. Great job bringing back memories of a classic.

Smooth gameplay, wonderful graphics and a ton of fun for all ages. Best 99 cents I've spent in months!

Total waste of Money!! Never runs for more than one second...

Frustrating and unresponsive. Maybe the dev missed the part where Cruisin' is unrealistic, but THIS GAME IS NO FUN IF YOU CAN'T STEER ON A CURVE. And you can't. So little content. No reason to play. Better stuff out there for a dollar.

But Outrun is over 20 years old and this does nothing new or better than the original Outrun.

Great game. Question: How come I sometimes finish a game on expert mode (Course A) faster than my previous time, but receive less points. And, I once shaved 6 seconds off my best time (5'24".92) and got only a couple thousand more points -- from 2,405,612 to 2,407,141. Perhaps we should have a leaderboard for fastest time because points awarded are inconsistent

Almost a clone but some critical elements are missing. Example: crashes. The player slows down upon impact... but the original material had a set of spectacular crashes. Let's get those into Final Freeway! The iPod music option was a must, thank you for including this! Path is too linear. Need a mode with a race against a rival in a different supercar.

Great arcade racer. Got this as the free app of the day. Just like the arcade classic.

This app is very fun to play, even lets you choose your own background music! I got this free cause of the promotion. I wish the controls to move the car would be switched to buttons, not a slide bar. 4/5 stars

Looks and plays great. Reminds me of Outrun like everyone else has said. I did request more vehicles and the option to change the vehicles colors but not having that doesn't take away from the game at all. Definitely get it! And it's free for today too!

In short, this game rocks. Looks great and retains all the glory from the arcade racers of yesteryear. The tilt controls work surprisingly well!

I do not buy lot of app game but this one I have to get from review it is really good take me back when I was a kid thank for bring this out to play nice job to the crew who made it possible!!!!!!

This reminds me so much of "Outrun", with much better graphics and frame rate. It has quick response and smooth graphics. A must have if you are a retro arcade game player.

This is a shallow but fun racing game. It is a lot like Outrun, but without the drifts or the different cars. The animation is not that great, but the graphics are still nice. I can't seem to get the soundtrack to work my iPad2.
